Terms and conditions

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale cover sales of goods by Etiquette & Decorum on, registered at Via Shakespeare 2 Bordighera (Italy) with fiscal code JNSKHL75P42F205L and VAT number 01728740083.

Placing an order with Etiquette & Decorum implies full and entire acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, which can be accessed at any time including at the time of ordering or making payment.


Item prices are shown in Euros and are subject to change at any time. Items are billed based on the prices in force when the order is placed.

The total amount of your intended order shall be visible at each stage of validation of your online order and, where applicable, at the time of validation of your payment.

The contents of your basket are visible at each order confirmation stage.

You have the opportunity to check the details and total price of your order, and to correct any errors before confirming your acceptance. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of the order and to report or correct any errors immediately.


Stock may be limited for certain items and unavailability of items might occur when placing an order online due to the potential process of simultaneous other orders online. Should this instance occur, Etiquette & Decorum will endeavour to fulfil your order and its dispatch within 30 working days.

Any order placed on the website, validated by you and confirmed by us, in accordance with the terms and conditions described above, constitutes the formation of a contract concluded remotely between us.

We reserve the right to reject any unusual orders or orders placed in bad faith, or on any other legitimate grounds.

Specific case of orders placed by telephone (call or SMS) or e-mail are assumed to have been made after reading our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.


Your purchases must be paid for by payment card or by bank transfer.

By choosing payment by bank transfer, at the end of the order the customer automatically receives a confirmation email containing the bank details of, following which the goods are put aside pending receipt of payment to the said account.

The customer is required to send a copy of the payment made by e-mail within 48 hours of receiving the order confirmation. If within this period does not receive a copy of the payment, it will cancel the order. The order will be shipped when the transfer has reached our bank account and as soon as the goods are made available at our warehouse.

We shall retain full ownership of the items sold until the full amount has been paid, including any shipping costs or customs duties.

Please note that we cannot be held liable for any order placed by a minor, whether or not their parents have approved the order.

Shipments and deliveries

Shipment fees are included for Italy and Europe. Any extra shipping costs or customs duties will be payable to us prior to dispatch. Shipment of purchased items may vary between 5 to 30 working days depending on item purchased as most of our items sold are handmade. Delivery will be made to the address specified when your order was placed.


Given their unique and personal nature, personalised items cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Therefore, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised items. We advise that you devote the necessary time and attention to creating your item.

You have a period of seven (7) calendar days from receiving your item(s) to exercise your right of withdrawal by returning your item(s) to us by post but at your own cost. Notification should be immediately sent to prior to returning your item to us.

In all cases, please ensure that all items returned are complete in their original condition, with their original packaging, and provide a copy of your invoice. Incomplete, used, damaged or sullied returned items will not be accepted.

Without prejudice to any legal provisions in force, your item(s) will be checked in order to assess and identify if it entails a manufacturing fault. If so, we will repair your item(s) free-of-charge or replace it/them with an equivalent item.

You have sole responsibility for your decision to purchase an item. The photographs and graphics shown on the website are not contractual and we cannot accept responsibility for them. Therefore, please note that items may not appear exactly as they do on the screen, for which we shall not be held liable. Moreover, kindly be reminded that our items are mostly handmade and any little defect should be accepted as part of its uniqueness.

Any refunds, if applicable, will be returned to the original account and will be issued in the same currency as the original purchase. Any differences in amount due to exchange rate fluctuations cannot be refunded.

Force majeure

We cannot be held liable or to be acting wrongfully due to any delay or non-performance due to a force majeure event.

Personal data

The personal data that we collect is required to process your order. There is no intention at any time to sell, market or rent this data to any third party.

Governing law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the order and any documents arising there from are governed by Italian law.
